Caregiver Support GroupThis group welcomes employed caregivers as well as family caregivers. This group meets on the first and third Tuesdays from 11am-noon at the Port Angeles Senior Center. Caregiver Support ProgramThe Caregiver Support Program offers a Kinship Program and a Respite Program. The Kinship Program supports people related to a child, 18 years or younger, who is not taken care of by their own parents. The Respite Program will pay for an in-home care through an agency, albeit with a long waitlist, and offers ancillary services such as massage, counseling, supplies. Family Caregiver Support ProgramThe Family Caregiver Support Group is for any family caregiver of a disabled or elder adult. We welcome caregivers to share, obtain support and realize they are not alone in their caregiver journey. We support family members, friends and neighbors. Meetings are in person on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month at 10 AM in the KSQM Community Room, 609 W Washington St., in Sequim. Community Options Program Entry System (COPES) is a state program that provides comprehensive care management and helps pay for personal care, home delivered meals, home health care, adult day services, respite, transportation and other services for older adults in their homes. COPES also pays for care in board and care homes and assisted living facilities.
