Volunteer Hospice Remembrance Ceremony
A special ceremony open to the entire community with hospice nurses reading names of hospice patients and an invitation to call the names of others who have died.
Polar Bear Dip
For 32 years in a row, and supporting Volunteer Hospice for the 8th year, Hollywood Beach in Port Angeles was full of people for the Polar Bear Dip. This year, Debbie Crumb, daughter of Volunteer Hospice founder Rose Crumb, dipped in honor of her mother, and her father Red (and raised over half of the donations thanks to the entire Crumb Family!) New VHOCC Executive Director JooRi Jun also “jumped” right into her position by taking a plunge as well. Dan Welden, dipping for the 32nd year, says, “it’s about getting the craziest thing you’ll do all year out of the way the very first day.”
